Title: "Optimal Transportation in the 21st Century"

Abstract:
In this talk we present various developments in the theory of optimal transportation following the discovery of regularity conditions on cost functions by Ma, Trudinger and Wang , published in 2005. We also consider recent extensions which embrace near field geometric optics as special cases.

Stanisław Łojasiewicz was one of the most outstanding Polish mathematicians of 20th century. Throughout his entire professional career, since the beginning of his studies in 1945 until his death in 2002, he was affiliated with the Jagiellonian University.
